Dr. Tse Cheuk Wa, specialist in General Surgery presented two Varicose Veins health talks on 3rd October in Healthway Mongkok Clinic and 11th October in Tsuen Wan Town Hall. The health talks raised the public awareness in the possible consequences and provided a good knowlegde on the latest minimal invasive treatments of varicose veins.

In conjunction with Qualigenics Diabetes Centre, Healthway is proud to introduce a brand new specialist service to the public - Thyroid Clinic on every Tuesday afternoon at our Pier 3, Central centre. Dr. Norman Chan, an endocrinologist of Qualigenics Diabetes Centre, together with Dr. Chan Wai Fan, general surgeon, gave a health talk to the public in relation to thyroid disease and its related surgical treatment on 12 April 2008. The hall at Duke of Windsor Building was fully filled up with about 100 participants.

Early Detection of Colon Disease by Endoscopy

On Saturday, 12 April 2008, our general surgeon Dr. Chow Tak Wai kick-started our one-week health campaign in Tsuen Wan, aiming to raise the public awareness of colon related diseases, with a health talk attended by 138 participants. Most of the questions for Dr. Chow during the Q&A session were related to colon cancer, the No. 2 cancer killer in HK.
